GRADING SYSTEM:

The Victoria College of Music in London, founded in 1890, has now added solo music examinations for concertina to the already extensive list of subjects.
The Victoria College of Music is an independent examination body which has held examination sessions for more than a century.
VCM aims to encourage pupils from the very first steps to practice beyond the first novelty stage. For the concertina this means that more pupils will learn to use all the possibilities of the instrument besides learning some of the quite extensive classical repertoire that exists from the Victorian Age up to the newly composed work of these days.
For "English Concertina" VCM has now available the detailed syllabuses for two introductory grades (A and B) and Grade One. The higher grades will be developed gradually in the near future.
